Congratulations on finding this hidden easter egg! This page was never
intended to be uploaded to the site. It was an incomplete idea which was
abandoned. The main reason is that the games listed here have little to
no information about them. These games were only announced or proposed by
magazines or other sources without any official confirmations.
MAGICIAN LORD 2
Alpha Denshi never announced a sequel to Magician Lord. The rumors were
spread by the Game Lord Chad Okada to the editors of Die Hard Game Fan Magazine
because they were huge fans of the original game. He did this just to get them
to hype up and discuss the NEOGEO with more coverage in the magazine. Yes, a
Magician Lord 2 proto was found for the NEOGEO POCKET handheld portable game
system, but it was completely unrelated to the original rumored game.
CRYSTALIS 2
Another completely fabricated and unsubstantiated rumor with no foundation.
The original Crystalis was released for the famicom in April 1990 and
for the NES in July 1990. And it would be a few months before SNK would have
even known that the game was a success. And so late 1990 would have been the
absolute earliest that they would have even considered a NEOGEO sequel. And
this is well past the early missing software product numbers. So there is
NO WAY that it could have been one of the mystery games.
HEAVY GLOVE BOXING
This alleged boxing game was rumored by Game Fan Magazine as well as by
Javier Ruiz from the mail order game store Visual Rush. There is no proof
whatsoever that this game was ever announced by any NEOGEO developer. Also,
the game Legend of Success Joe is "technically" a boxing sports game, and
was advertised as such back in 1991 when it was released. But this title had
nothing to do with that game and it was during the 1994 time period.
CYBERNETIC SOCCER / DREAM OVER / BATTLE WORLD / HIGH VOLTAGE / REACTION / PULSTAR BLAST /
These are all just early working titles for the betas of their released games.
GHOST PILOTS 2 / LAST BLADE 3 /
These are all just completely made up lies with absolutely no foundations.
