NEOGEO TRACKBALL CONTROLLER

In this section, we have a unique game indeed. Released by SAURUS in 1997, The Irritating Maze was a video game version of a real life physical Japanese television game show called The Irritating Stick. It utilized a slightly different MVS motherboard with a special BIOS chip that specifically worked with another auxiliary jamma connector board, similar to the one used for Kizuna Encounter.

THE IRRITATING MAZE by SAURUS - 1997

This is a great game which was originally intended to be made available for use in both the dedicated trackball controller cabinet, as well as a standard cartridge for standard hardware. This is logical to conclude because it was issued a standard sequential NGM product number, and it is fully playable with a simple reprogramming of the P rom on the cartridge.

NOTE: It is also possible to play this game with the UNI-BIOS installed.
