The Coleco Vision was one of the best video game systems from the early 1980's era.
A complete set of RELEASED cartridges for the system is 140. However this number is not
without controversy. The detailed breakdown for that number of 140 is as follows:
(128) officially released USA cartridges +1 (129) for the CANADIAN game Evolution +1 (130)
for the EUROPEAN game Super Action Soccer +8 (138) for the "debatedly" after-market games
released by TELE-GAMES +1 (139) for Super Sketch which is "technically" an accessory rather
than a game +1 (140) for Meteoric Shower which was "technically" released by TELE-GAMES, but
only as firmware OR it can also count as a European game by Bit Corp, but of course which
is also controversial.
However, regardless of how you personally view the complete set, as with most gaming
systems, several games were developed that were either postponed or canceled, and as
a result, they were never released. Early beta builds and prototypes of several of
these unreleased games have been found over the years, and so I put together this
page to document them all in one place.
I am not an expert in the field of Coleco Vision protos, and as such, I don't
have the complete history of when & where all of these games were first discovered.
So, whenever possible, I have given as much information as I have available, but if
anyone out there can contribute additional details, then please contact me so that I
can improve and enhance this data base by implementing the information here.
THESE 6 TITLES WERE ONLY RUNNING DEMONSTRATIONS SHOWN AT INDUSTRY TRADE SHOWS.
